So this is how the story goes.....
In the final saga of this wonderful land, where the animals would talk to the humans; and a great lion leads them all to love, in faith and in courage.
In the last chapter of this great story, all of the lion's enemies have swept away his followers except for two, the bear and the Unicorn. They are trapped in a cave with the lion.
And because the entrance to this cave is narrow, the wave after wave of soldiers that the evil king sends in to try and kill them can't do it. The lion, the bear and the Unicorn, they fight them off.
So finally, the king sends in a messenger. He says, " look, the one that we really want, is the lion" "give him up and the rest of you will live, Ahh the Unicorn, we're going to cut his horn off, make him pull a cart for the rest of his life. The bear, we're going to put in chains and shackles, make him dance in the circus, but both of you will live, all you have to do is give up that lion".
Finally, the lion looks at his friends with that look in his eyes, "what are you going to do??" And the bear and the Unicorn;they just smile.
And they say, " of all the deaths that we could have died, this right here is the one we would have chosen".
But the bear, and the lion and the Unicorn, they weren't looking for an easy road.
Jesus didn't when he accepted the cross, He didn't choose an easy death. So it's time to make a choice too. Never giving up on that lion.
I just watched the movie " heaven is for real", now that it has ended, I am outside, well beyond midnight, sitting on my porch swing, pondering life and exsistance, wrestling with my very stirred emotions, searching through the memory book of my own heart and experiences, must-have have much I want to talk about but at the same time, speechless, in awe , in heartache, in wonder, ... looked up this awesome story on Google, here I found this by you, good soul- like a needle in a haystack.. Thank you for posting it. Though this is just a piece, one amoung so much more, that "heaven is for real" quelled me outside myself, looking for answers, passuonions, accounts, of this human life, this mystery of death, listening for God ,.. out here in the night air breezes, and sending my own words upon them, words for God, and words for my dearly departed whom I miss constantly, , and like a child, hoping to hear from my Father, as for my departed loved ones, I can only look forward and hope they'll visit me in my dreams, there are stretches of time where frequently I do get to meet them there.. goodnight, and thank you for sharing your " My Thoughts"

DeleteMe again, just realized that the Year of your blog post here, was a Year of immense tragedy for me, , and drastic changed for my family... the Year that changed me , in the middle of my life... also, written on the fourth of July, my daughter Josipheen's birthday, whose name is in tribute to my most dearly departed.
